Florida State University will award an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters to alumna and entrepreneur Sara Blakely during spring commencement ceremonies May 1-2, celebrating her impact as an inventor, philanthropist and founder of Spanx and Sneex.

The 9 a.m. Friday ceremony is for all doctoral students who wish to attend Commencement and will include faculty hooding.
The 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Friday ceremonies and 9 a.m., 2 p.m., and 7 p.m. Saturday ceremonies are for bachelor, master, and specialist degree candidates who wish to attend Commencement.

Graduating seniors who received an email indicating they are eligible to receive an honor cord
should pick up their cord during the following dates and times below.
Tuesday, March 31 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Wednesday, April 8 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Thursday, April 16 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Friday, April 17 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
